Stellar is back. The first of part of 3 for the team is done.
Awhile ago I was talking with about an alternate appearance for Stel to use now and then so I came up with the Shooting Star look for him, looks a bit darker but you get a similar feel. ^^
Hope everyone likes how it came out, more pics on the way soon. ^^
Art / Outfit- Stellar Jay-
EDIT: Oshi... Yes I just realized I said allbowdown08 in the bottom corner, I knew people on the west of the US were behind but sheesh. D=
You did a great work on the pose, the length of the arms, the legs, the thickness and proportions, everything appears very well done to me! I especially like how you made the character´s head, the featherd hairstyle and the beak look really cool! I just think the finger on his left hand turned out a bit too curved. A matter of taste? Hm.. a bit more straight and it´d look perfect! The finger is one of the first things people look at when they view the art, so it should be " perfect " Also I like the outfit, I don´t really can remember the original, older one right now, but I seriously like the glowy stars on the gloves and on the shoes. They bring some light in the dark coloured character, I really like this. Also I just love it when a character posses some kind of eyecatcher. Like an glowy earring or stuff, anything which gives the figure something remarkable Still, the right leg appears a bit long to me for some reason, maybe because the left leg covers it a lot. But it seems allright though (anatomy etc.).
But not just the character is fantastic, the background is great as well! I just love wallpapers and this design turned out very well! The blue sky background with the stars suit the dark/light blue character great! But something like a real shooting star, which goes through a whole corner of the pic or just a part, would have filled it a bit more. Or, since it´s the night sky, simply the moon! There´re a lot of moon brushes on DeviantArt and on other sides, something might have suiten ( suiten? Suited? Argh damn grammar D: ) the background perfectly
Need to see this when I´m at my own PC again, because this one ( ha, I´m writing you from work ) always put some weird pattern all over the screen... however, nice work though!
Oh my, I guess this is my shortest critique ever, still I hope it was ok ;D
back when I did this picture I just duplicated the star area and gave it a SMALL Gaussian Blur, turning on the outer glow effect and making that neon blue. I think that's how it was anyway.. haven't used the PS effects like that very heavily recently.
