Ruin the Quetzal

If you're thinking by looking at the first pic you see.. "hey a Quetzal is supposed to be green gold and red.." that's not always true ( [link] ) it's just that the national Quetzal follows that color scheme.

I haven't quite figured out a story for him yet but I've got ideas... it helps since I know he's tied into the rest of my other characters since all of their stories are tied together in one way or another... I enjoy populating this lil universe. All I know is I'm probably gunna end up darkening his arms a little bit to better differentiate where the arms are no longer feather covered.. till then, this sloppy sketch will have to do as good a job as it can. XD

I know I haven't drawn his shoes yet but that's because I go through a whole different design process just for them.. Expect some black rugged outdoorsy boot type things, that's the plan. xD

Haven't thought too much about his fighting styles yet either but I've toyed with the idea of "uber quickness" since short burst matrix speed like reactions are kind of neat... and I've always enjoyed Albert Wesker (who does that) so who knows. And as for attacks, a lot of that is still up in the air but I like the idea of a hand stab.. which is one reason why I incorporated the short claws.. Attacks like that are fun to think of.. clean and messy all at once. xD

He's probably going to turn out as a Byronic Anti-Hero like Saff but a darker one due to circumstances. Gunna make this one dangerous. xp

I also apologize for the crappy coloring and randomly adding an extra highlight to the side of his hand.. but like Schism, they're both concept sketches so I figured I'd move em out quickly and continue to work on primary projects.

I'm loving this a lot.
Love the dark colors, definitely something I'd love to color one day.

Also I think the inspirations for his abilities and such are good too.

Well I usually don't make a character that smells sunshine and farts rainbows, he's definitely looking like a dark end neutral. I'm already toying with a couple ideas that make some sense and explain stuff but those wont probably come round till a finished design is completed.

For now this and Schism are both teaser material for characters that are almost all the way done, but just not quite all the way there yet.
